Rim Family Services offers the following services through our Older Adult Community Services Program. This program is available thanks to the California Mental Health Services Act. Services are available to community members 60 and older. There is no cost to the client for these services.
- P.E.A.R.L.S. – Program for Enriching Active Rewarding Lives of Seniors. Our PEARLS counselor will come to your home, meet with you one-on-one, and share information that is pertinent to your needs. This program is designed to reduce depressive symptoms, strengthen problem-solving skills, and encourage an improved quality of life.
- Wellness & Home Safety Groups – These groups are a great way for older adults to get together, have some fun, socialize, and learn a few safety tips too. Groups are held weekly throughout the community. Come join in on a game of pinochle, make a craft, or listen to one of the many guest speakers that are part of our groups. Have fun with old friends or meet new ones.
- Therapy – Therapy is available to older adults in the mountain communities through this program on a limited basis.
